Option Code 417 - Rear Package Box?
I've been searching for what options code 417 is and was able to find one reference (from Fabio421 of October 2005 post). His post says it is a "Rear Package Box". What is a "Rear Package Box"? Does anyone know??
My other options codes on the 1984 are: C03 (California Car), 438 (Comfort/Full Power Right Seat) and 650 (Sunroof). The 417 option code is missing on most of the option code lists I've been able to find. THANKS for the help!

In most cars it was standard so there is no need for separate code in the list. On some early eighties models it was extra and thus the code. Though on US cars having code is abnormal since almost all had the box.

417 isn't listed on the Porsche decoder?
My new '86 has only one option listed on the sticker: C02, but it has full leather, rear speakers, LSD, rub strips, rear box, etc. Unfortunately, the warranty booklet is missing, so no luck there.
My old '86 had option codes for everything, including rear air, which some PO deleted.
