The spoiler looks OK but I think it will look better once the car has settled. The hood is not my taste but it too will probably look better when finished. I think the rockers need to be blended into the fenders and with the looks of them, it may require some wide fenders. Please keep this thread updated with your progress. I am interested in what your doing. Good luck.

I think what you are trying to do looks interesting. I too would have said loose the hood scoop - but once I saw it was functional - I'd say its OK. Porsche would never add a bulge for no reason - but as a cool air path its much more acceptable.
Have you considered how you keep the air cool - foam insulation on the underside of the scoop and under the hood maybe?

Mark:
The air is taken from a duct at the front/top of the condensor anout 2" prior to the origonal air tube mounts. The air runs up the duct and dumps into the air box adapter. The rear of the scoop is also open to take advantage of the second pressure point at the base of the windshield. There is also a baffel that in the scoop that separated the 2 air supplies into the air box. I did not want the two volumns of air creating any unwanted turbulance.
Alan.
The air going through the hood scoop will definately be a lower temp than the engine compartment. The underside of the hood will also be insulated. the inner sides of the scoop are also insulated by aprox 3" of expanging foam to help create the air chanel internal to the hood.
The air box adapter is a simple aluminum box that drops onto the origonal air box base. This allows the use of the full surface of the origonal air filter.

I think the side rockers could use some blending...
Maybe look around this web page, and get some ideas for modifications:

I appreciate you taking the effort to modify your car, but some body mods are more successful than others. It's easy to take the nice lines of the 928, and clutter them up with random body kit parts. But if you can do it smoothly, it can look very nice. In my opinion, not too many people have done it right.

Wow, ton of work indeed. Front spoiler is interesting. A little busy, but not ugly by any means. ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
The super-bulbous hood makes it look like a matchbox car to me. Angel, not even TAs had bumps that big; the shakers were only about 1.5' long x 1' wide. A full bird on a 928... now that would be a sight! it would go well with that video from a couple weeks ago of rednecks "jumping" their 928 on their farm.
IMHO, NACA ducts would be less obtrusive but provide a similar benefit. I love the look of properly-integrated and functional NACA ducts. Probably explains why a '71 GTO is my favorite example of Detroit muscle.

Hey, s928s, what type of cars do you affiliate yourself with aside from this one?
For example, I grew up with BMWs and german cars, and have primarily owned BMWs, Mercedes and quite a few Porsches...
I'm seeing a trend with this type of thing... Anyone else?

it's cool I think the hood may look better after you get the front end lower to the ground it seems to be sitting up a ways , I'm having the same issue. Keep us posted.

Wouldn't be the first 928 with a cowl induction hood. To each his own, build what you want. They are just cars and not particularly valuable cars either, at least in monetary terms. But very high personal value! ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Barry, I have always been into german cars. I have owned 928's & 944's over the last 15+ years. prior too that I would tinker with Datsun 280/260z cars and some MGB and Spitfires.
