Default 928S4 restos are easy compared to this one

So some of you may know I brought back to life a '91 S4 that had slight front end damge. Basically the last year in sort of my spare time when I'm not running my bike shop, I did/had done just about everything possible to this car. I'm almost done and down to the minutia. I'm loving this car as my semi-daily driver between it, my EuroVan and whatever bike I am riding from inventory.

Well something happened. Something big. 928 parts are looking really cheap for some reason:

Can you post the pics here that we can't see as non-members there?

I REALLY love these cars. I don't care if I don't fit, I want one - and I want one with the carbs.

Everybody: for some Italian demon-soul music, search Youtube for "Countach dyno", look for a black one like Kiesan's new toy but with exhaust work. Turn the volume all the way up.

That vid will make you want to mod yours, Kiesan.

You are a BRAVE BRAVE MAN....to take on a Countach like that......the 928 will be 95% easier & cheaper than the Countach....it will also provide nearly the same performance in a much more reliable package....there is a reason why 928's tend to have lots of miles and Countachs don't..... Still a very cool car... A local guy has one.....even in perfect running condition it leaks oil and gas...takes FOREVER to warm up & is just brutal to ride in-get in and out of......

Take off the wing and it is much faster ! Cool car though remember sitting in my bay window over Jones and Washington Sts **** Hill San Francisco foggy night and rumbling along the street was a Countach looked like a spaceship coming through the fog disappeared down the hill following the cable car....

Very cool. I remember as a kid looking up in the sky for a low flying plane and realizing the sound wasn't coming from the sky, it was coming from a white Countouch. I've always wanted one ever since but realize that affording one is only half the battle.

Good luck and please post your progress!
