Question Burned wire smell - need advice

Hey guys,
The last two days I have been getting a a burned wire smell that I think is coming from my climate control. It usually begins when I have it set to defrost (blower is blowing at max regardless of fan setting). It sometimes occurs regardless of control setting. I suspect that the climate control fan is being over loaded and the strain is causing the burned wire smell. When the defrost setting is selected and the fan is working as hard as it can, it gets strained and produces the smell (I theorize). I also suffer from Magic Blower, so that too may be stressing our my fan and causing it to produce the smell when on any climate control setting. These are just guesses so I was hoping someone could tell me if I am way off base or right on target. I don't want to start pulling things apart until I am relatively certain what the problem is and what I want to do to fix it. Which is a good time to ask my second question, which what can I do? Do I need to replace the blower motor or is there a trick to quick fix this? Thanks in advance.

I think I traced it to the fused, wrong on in the climate control spot, whtn defrost was put on it fried the fuse burning it in half hence smoke, repalced said fuse and checked all others several were wrong, no probs sonce , however climate control no longer lights up at night??? anyone have hints is there a simple bulb back there, i can't find it.
