Maybe they were heading to San Antonio for Spring Break???? I will keep an eye out for one.
I rearely see any 928s here. 4 in the last 5 months. One I see everyday is for sale 1978 Red with pretty clean pascha interior. Too pricey at $7995. Been on the lot of a month now.

I would have but driving that 65 mph Peterbilt company truck would not have got the job done had I been able to turn around quickly enough to run him down.
But if I had been in my Peterbilt.......Mmmmm..... shouldn't go there. I like keeping my license clean.

If Paint Scratch is correct in their info, those colors are inded rare, They show Mint Green(224) for 1992 & 1993 and Signal Green(22S) only for 1992.
The other greens they show for GTSs are: Advertura Green(39R & 39S) is listed for 1993-1995; Oak Green(22L) is shown just for 1993; Amazon Green(37Z & 39A) was in 1992 & 1993. Seems as time went on they offered less green colors in the GTS, with 1993 offering four greens.

All Porsches shared basically same color map after 944 S2 production was moved into Stuttgart plant in middle of '91 MY.

The yellow GTS does in fact exist. The info on my site is correct. The pictures of the yellow GTS are of a car I considered buying a bunch of years ago from a guy who worked for Mobil in Qatar. The GTS in Houston is virtually the same spec with the differences being the MY (the car in Houston is a 95 and the car in Qatar is/was a 93) trans and the wheels.

Mint, Signal and Oak green all are listed in both '91 and '94 MY Porsche salesman fact books. Both Mint and Signal are listed as standard color in '94 MY book. '95 MY color brochure do not list them but its missing also several other colors which were definitelly used in both 928 and 993.

Erkka,
I referred to the 1994 Service Information Technik Booklet, it doesn't list any of those Greens - only Adventurine Green in '94
It seems Porsche was inconsistant. But I do have a hard time believing that they wouldn't have willingly painted a 928 any available factory color for an order at this time in the 928's life and volume. I don't really see why they'd charge more than the optional colors - except just to make more money...

How about the Amazon Green GTS that was just on Ebay and didnt meet reserve?
I want that one! I was even thinking of taking out all the good bits out of my GT like cams, 5 speed cluster, transmission and torque tube and doing a transmission swap. Then selling the black GT as a bit of a bastard S4. Then I would have a 5 speed GTS in my favorite color combo.

I was going to ask where that first pic was taken and based on the building design i though immediately SPAIN. It looks like the palace in Madrid. Then i noticed the plate starts with "S" and thought SPAIN, but i think the European abbreviation for Spain is "ES" for Espania.
Where is that pic taken, any ideas?
The car mentioned sounds cool with yellow piping and stuff, but I can think of more then a few colors i would like more on a 928 then Speed Yellow. Dosent seem fitting for the car at all. Still its pretty damn rare!
