Hey Chris!

Here's some recent pictures of the beast:

And here's a video I made from just last weekend:

In-car camera from Laguna Seca (16 MB mpeg)

Notice how there's no corrections needed out of 11 and 2? There's an LSD in there now. Grip, grip and more grip. Have you gotten that 25th Anniv. T/A yet?

Keep it buried through 1!

Sweet Dennis! Nice to see it out there being abused like it should be. That LSD should drop the times pretty well, that was my biggest setup issue, could never put power down like the dang 911's.

It sounds quite different now too. Once I get out of temporary housing up here I'll try and dig out the in-car from the One Lap and get that posted.

Those photos are sweet. How did you fair in the rain? Is it still running like a champ?

And yeah, I got the 20th Turbo Trans Am. It's quite, er, different. Ha! I'm enjoying being in the musclecar world for a bit, but I think I'll come back to porsche-land soon enough. I do miss the One Lap car though.

I'll be happy when I can wheelie with the trans am

Easier said than done. I'm a wuss.

I tried. and tried. and tried. By the end of the day the lift was barely audible, but I know I was still doing it.

I'll be out at Laguna again on New Year's Eve. If it's dry, I'll hopefully be posting video of me flat in Turn One.

Thumbs up

Nice pics everyone!

Dennis K...

Man does that car sound tough!!! Especially the down shift throttle blips...

I've got the laguna mpeg repeating in the background with the volume turned up as I browse the board. The sound quality is very good.

What kind of exhaust system are you running? What engine work was done to the car?

That is one of the best sounding engine/exhaust I've ever heard!

Well SRV I can't say what's exactly on Dennis' car now, but I was the one who sold it to him so I'll take a crack at the mods list and Dennis can chime in with the latest and greatest.

Engine: DEVEK Level 2 Headers and Dual Borla Exhaust (I think Dennis added one more Borla to make it 3). Otherwise stock except for maintenance/reliability items and an AFPR. (nothing to bump the power other than the headers/exhaust)

Suspension: 8.5 and 10" x 18" Cup 2 wheels, DEVEK front swaybar and reinforced mounts, Bilstein "cup" shocks with custom hypercoil springs, DEVEK strut brace, lots of different alignments and ride height settings ;-)

Other: Accusump, devek rollbar, recaro seats and 6 points, lightened interior, custom front splitter, devek radiatior, gts clutch, etc.

For what it's worth, *everyone* at the 2000 One Lap of america came up to us and told us we had the best sounding car at the event, bar none. That was nice. It sounded bad-*** at the high banks of MIS when I was the only car out there screaming around the oval.

If someone has space, I have some other in-car video I can post which is kinda fun. I'll need 30 megs or so.

Dennis?

Cool

Irid...

Thanks for the response!

I am amazed that a relatively simple exhaust mod makes the 928 howl and growl like that; it sounds like a completely different car!

Let's face it, although the RMB sounds 'good', it's still very pedestrian.

On the other hand, your ex '88 sounds like it has *****, and BIG ONES at that; I can't get over at how good that car sounds!

By the way, what's an AFPR? And what does 'added one more Borla to make 3' mean?
