Wink

The only vehicle other than a 911/912/914/916 that should carry the Fuchs is a molested VW Type 1-

It means "fox" in German, but is not pronounced like "focks" - more like "foox"...

Anyway, there are lots of 928s that came with Fuchs wheels - all the flat dish and GT wheels were forged at Fuchs. The old Fuchs style wheels, which had been used on the 911 and early 944 models had different offsets and would not fit on a 928.

Yeah, but he's talking about the Fuchs that were on the 911's- probably the black ones with the polished metal rims. They were not original equipment on 928's, they were on others...so they tend to not look quite right.

Jack

There was a previous thread with a picture on this subject a while back:

<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=14;t=000498#000000" target="_blank">Fuchs on a 928</a>

The picture (no longer there) was of a part's car for sale by pap-parts.com - no longer there. Looked V rough if I remember correctly.

Cheers

Get some nice Fikse multi spoke wheels in 18 inch and some wide tires and fall in love with your car AGAIN!

Wow i was just wondering lol. I thought the polished fuchs might look kind of cool on it. They actually do look really good on the 944 we have though. JUst a thought. What I really want are some rims from Techart that are in the tweaks catalog but alas i dont have that much money.

HRE 311 are 3-piece custom wheels with Fuchs centers. If they're anything like the rest of HRE's wheels, they must be hellaciously expensive. But hey, they're "Fuchs," after a fashion, that can fit a 928.

Here's one. Not a very nice example though.
