Thumbs up HELP...In the hunt for a 1988 (now including 89's) Shark (UPDATE)

Ok, as some of you know, I almost decided to trade my 86.5 for an 88 since that's the year I entered the USAF. I'll be retiring in a few months, it'll be a sentimental retirement gift. Well, since then I’ve decided to keep my rocket and try to find an equally maintained 88 for sale.

Can you all help? If you know of one for sale, please let me know! It doesn’t matter if it’s a 5-spd or AT as long as it’s been babied. Color combo will be on a conditional basis

I've been looking at craigslist and autotrader for starters.

Thanks,
Darien

Darien,

This '88 comes up for sale periodically. Not sure what the tranny is but I suspect auto. And not sure why it hasn't sold as it looks pretty nice.

One of the PacNW guys ran a Carfax and it came up no accidents or rebuilt title type issues.

If you're interested, one of the OR crew might be able to spin by to check it out.

There's an '88 in the San Diego craigslist in La Jolla.

Brian,

If you don't buy the 89 you can always buy an 87 5spd and maybe Darien can still buy Sharky Give me a call if you want to discuss, price is negotiable....

Bump!! I'd like to keep this alive as I'm closing in on my 20 year Anniversary/Retirement

Again, this is a sentimental thing. There are other years that I'd love to have, but having an 88 S4 parked next to my 86.5 would be awesome

Yup, I spoke to the original owner's son who is driving it now and I didn't get a good feeling for it.

There are three '88s in the rennlist classifieds, two autos and a 5sp.

The black 5sp with limited slip and the Marine Blue auto both look nice.

And another on the registry:
