Default Another $%$#*^% PO Wiring Issue

I have commenced work on my 85 32 valver. It was a vandalized car and I have replaced the steering column with a new re-keyed ignition lock. The vandles ripped out the expensive stereo/navigation/alarm unit The car had an incredible amount of wire hacking and I spent the day yesterday putting it all back to stock so I have a starting point to work with. What a PITA!!!...and a pile of wires and boxes to boot.

Anyway, I am happy with it all, but two wires to no where are baffling me. Look at the pictures and tell me if you know what they are and where they go to. One is a close up and the other is further back to give you an idea as to where they are located.

Thanks!

Looks like the heater portion of your ox sensor, the round barrel plug goes to the LH for signal voltage from the Ox Sensor the other square looking plug looks like the connector to the other 2 wires for the Ox sensor 12v and ground.

So are you saying the two get hooked together? If not, where would I find the other end of them?

Not that I am aware of. Most all of the electronic goodies were ripped from the console in haste and the only stuff I found was buried under the fuse panel.

Look under your carpet on the side it's hidden well, there is a hole where the Ox sensor wire enters it has a rubber grommet on it that is the connector your looking for. The ox sensor has one large wire with the barrel connector seen in your picture with the green wire. In that same cable is a connector that matches your one with the open wire. Someone may have not used the correct heated Ox sensor and used the wire for a 12v source. Look at my pdf it will tell you where these go.

Keith,
I asked a couple of years ago about the smaller black connector, the top wire in the top picture. I have a MY85 USA also and it is disconnected on my car also. Nobody gave any clue as to what the wire belongs to. It is still disconnected with no consequences.

The other connector is the power for the heating element in the 02 sensor. It looks like the wires are pulled out of that connector, the 2 halves are plugged into each other.

the single black connector was for a factory type of stereo I believe.

the lower 2 pin plug is for the heater circuit for the O2 sensor. This is the + side which is broken, it would normally recieve power through the fuel pump relay.
