It is all very subjective. Over the years I have had customers with stock suspension call and ask for something SOFTER ! Porsche on the early automatic cars fitted 15 inch rims with higher profile 60 series taller tires as a comfort option. As a gross generalization stiffer springs need stronger shocks to control their movement. The use of 17,18,19 inch rims with very low profile tires may have more to do with "harshness" than anything else. Locking the steering rack down solid also transmits vibrations. I personally like the Bilstein / Eibach set up but again that is subjective. Plus that is what we sell because that is what we LIKE . The Eibach springs are made for 928 International and only exist because we order 100 sets at a time. They have become the most popular after market 928 springs.

Jim,
You must be slipping. You did not mention the price of the Eibachs and how many you have in stock!

Bilstein/Eibach here ($750 used from 928 Int'l). It's a nice improvement over my old worn-out stock shocks. It's a bit stiffer and bouncuer than stock when just driving around, but I got used to that very quickly. But it's much better in the cornering, although I have not pushed the car to it's limits yet. I hope to soon.

I better not go too harsh on the springs.

I have 18x8 Carrera III's front with 225/40ZR18's and 18x10's out back with 285/30ZR18's.

Boge Springs and Bilstein Shocks sound like a good combination for me. Anybody have a combo price on that setup?

Or does any have a good used set of Bilstein / Eibach's?

Bilsteins or Boge Reds with stock springs is a nice upgrade on a street-sport 928...handles better than stock (think less roll) and still rides very nice...... I rode in a koni-stock spring that also was very nice..... Once you start ramping up the spring rates the ride drops off quickly.....

It all hinges on what you want the 928 to do...... if you want an all out racer...then you can get the 4 way adjustable motons for $10k+ springs......

Why? Koni 3012 are $500/corner and 8212 are $550/corner from Koni Motorsports for a 928.
