Default Do you wear a Bra?

What the general consensus on bra's......for the 928. I'm not talking full time use, just boring interstate travel. What's worse, possible stone chips etc. from the highway or the bra rubbing on the paint?

I have a perfect factory bra and have just used it on one trip to the Carolina's. I'm wondering if I should use it more, when I taking the interstate highways and the like?

Look into the clear film, if applied properly it's hard to see. I have the nose of the replica covered and I'll probably do each of the p-cars as well.

Bra's? No thanks, I've used them before.

I wear one, my car does not

I do use my car as a daily driver for my 80 mile round trip commute. I haven't had any issues with rock chips.

I've got a funky one that came with the car. Have not used its since I picked it up.

But for those long road trips after a respray of the bumper and hood. I will.

Have you seen that $400.00 fog light I need to replace?

I use one for "touring", but keep the paint under the edges dusted so there's no grinding. A little instant detail and a microfiber towel at every stop. I use the factory one-piece, the one you have to partially release to check the oil and stuff. So it's not that big a deal to dust under the edges.

The one I have is probably not as dainty as the one Ang referenced in her post...

Do you two sit at opposite ends of the couch with laptops for "dueling Rennlist"? There must be a better way for intra-marital communications.

Russell,
You might as well break out and wear the bra tomorrow night.
I heard Ross might be wearing a red dress

They are ugly and from I have seen cause more damage than they prevent. At least 2 people have caused extensive damage to their cars driving to SITM with bras.

The kid has the lap top, or I'd be in the garage.

If the steps Dr. Bob mentions are taken, and the even more important: yank the sucker off if it gets wet, there should be no extensive damage. Water is probably the worst offender, the sun will steam it into the paint if the bra is kept on.

I use a bra for track days as rock chips as your whizzing past other cars, can be particularly nasty.

Both of the ones I am referring to were strap failures.

FWIW, I tried the spray-on bra from Griot's Garage (over a decent wax coat), and it helped me relax during my inaugural 750 mile trip in my 928. I would use it again rather than risk paint hazing that some folks have shared occurred when they installed a vinyl bra.

After someone ran over a 12-pack of soda on the beltway and half-full, flattened cans were flying like tumbleweeds (only hit my windshield with a blunt edge, Thank God!), I decided to put VentureShield on the front end and mirrors. Really pleased with it; cannot see it on my paint (metallic black) from 5 feet away.
