BUMP--

Just checked the Comfort Suites yesterday and the rates are now up to ~$100/night for the evening of the 5th. There may be an alternative down the street that's a bit less expensive? Anyone have thoughts or ideas on where they want to stay? Would prefer to have us all at the same place. Unfortunately, I'm too busy this year to call around and get a block of rooms.

Carl-
The roads we drove last year make the BRP look like the $0.25 ride outside K-Mart - boring! The BRP certainly is beautiful, but nowhere near the level of raod we took into Banner Elk last year - and I wouldn't even include the Dragon in that same category.

I did a 2:58 on the $0.25 ride outside K-Mart.
What's your time. I even did it wearing street shoes.

The TB was broken on the ride at my local Walmart.

Suit yourself; Slalom vs. Giant Slalom.
We do rte 421 to banner elk too, wouldn't miss it.

p.s. YOU try following "Dan, the man with the lead foot" down BRP at speed. I have tried to "BRP-proof" my car with stiff suspension and sticky rubber. We don't go slow.

Why... do you have a lot of personal experience at making her angry?

If you want to drive, and push the limits of "safe but fun", stay off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Speed limit is 45 MPH and is federally enforced. Car Clubs must have a permit. These clubs are recognized as five cars of the same make and/or model, traveling in a group.

Let's hope I'm just spitting in the wind.
