Thread revival. I am having a no pop up, "but lights work" problem right now. I did need to bend the drivers arm some to make clearance for my new twin snouts. I am not sure if that is doing because it is so sporadic. I feel like it is just an electrical problem. Tonight when the car sits for about 20 mins there is no pop up. If I am driving they go up and down just fine. I am thinking relay but what other things should I look at?

What specifically did you need to bend ? - Linkage arms ? Drive shaft of motor ?

What do you mean by 'make clearance for my new twin snouts' ?

Specifics.
Pics of the issue if possible.

Default Same issue as cold beer - fixed the same way

Man, I love this forum! Shout out to cold beer for posting his problem, gf361 for the how to on manual raise for the lights, and to cold beer for posting how he fixed it with pics.

My lever was in same position as cold beer’s, interesting as previous owner must’ve had the issue before as I noticed a metal plate installed to protect the radiator.

Removed the rubber boot and rotated the dial clockwise to manually raise the lights (they lowered fully first, then raised). Turned the car back on and they lowered automatically. Then all worked fine again thereafter. Not sure how it gets misaligned in the first place, but in my case the fix was pretty simple.

I have a video of the lights retracting and then coming back up, showing correct position of the shaft/lever. Can’t upload as evidently too big. PM me and I’m happy to email it to anyone who needs it.

Default Only pop up upon first start

My headlights will only work once a day. If I put them up, then put them down, they won't come up again until the next day (or cold). Everything works fine, everything functions fine the first time, then they go down with the lights on, and won't come up again until next day. So weird, no idea! lmao
