Default Go-Karters in Tampa Bay area

To revive a older thread -

So far the date is March 7th... I know my $1,000 beater can make it, or would you rather I brought the rescue

The place is
http://www.tampabaygp.com/

It would be great if someone in the area up there can come up with a pre-meet place and time. I know some of you need some courage

And maybe a place for afterwards, where you can tell
"I almost had you" stories

Hi Mike! I've talked to both Shawn & George Appunn about coordinating something since they are in that immediate area. I'm pretty sure Shawn's had a previous outing with the GoKarts & knows the details. At one point we were discussing coordinating it the same weekend as the St. Pete GP ALMS race in mid April. But if you guys can pull it off for next weekend, then go for it!

Mel - we can always do it twice!

Well - I'm making it a manditory for Ross and his car.
Having spent some time with him under his car lately, I will say he is another 928er you will enjoy meeting.

I used to say that treachery and youth will overcome old age and wisdom....
But that was 30 years ago
Now that I'm on the other side of the net and playin' volleyball for the other team......

"Old age and wisdom WILL overcome treachery and youth any day on the race track. Bring it on!"

I will be there. I'm pretty sure I can get tarek, George and Doreen to come as well.

Mel, if you come for the ALMS race we will be sure to take you karting. It plenty of fun to do it every month.

Mark, you are REQUIRED to bring your Murph Supershark to the event. George A. has been wanting to get some sort of forced induction and you mat be able to push him over the edge. Right now he is settling for new floormats.

Just a small note - Ross will be there - if I have to drag him behind his car. The tranny is in and awaiting the proper cable.
You read it here first - I hereby promise to NEVER pick up a major project started by non 928 mechanics! What a major PITA! AAAAAAaaaarg......
I do have some interesting pictures of a couple of 928 first though...
And now - for some fine Caribbean rum.
Sea ya........

Hows 7:00 PM for dinner and then go karting afterward? Is that too early?

We would also miss the dinner and party crowd if the southern crowd met at Marks at 6 or 6:30 to be at dinner by 7:00? (Hey George - jump in here..) and then head to the track

I have been asked for a head count and hope to call in with it tonight or Tuesday.........

I'm in for 5 or 6
