Question Anyone know Ebayer jab928?

I gotta problem here and I'm not sure what to do. It's with jab928, John A. Beukema.

I bought a sidemarker light from him on 17 March. It was a great deal ($10.00+ship) and now can't get him to respond to emails, requests for invoices, phone calls....etc, etc. His business phone says they're closed 'till 31 March. Nobody answers at home.

Since I haven't gotten an invoice, I (obviously) haven't sent him any money. Therefore I haven't any losses, so I'm not all that wound up.

I believe he's getting his emails because he has responded to other buyers in the last week.

He has a perfect Ebay record and I'm reluctant to give him negative feedback. On the other hand, I'm not willing to let him off the hook, just because he may not be satisfied with his take on this item.

Anybody know him, got any advice?

Give him the benefit of the doubt. Wait until his business is open and call him. If you don't get a satisfactory answer leave him a negative.

Unsatisfactory - publically slam him. What if you didn't respond for close to 10 days - THAT'S BS!

Simon, I agree with ErnestSW give him some time A lot of the E-Bay people are part time and doing it from home, His children may be on spring break and it is the only time he/she has for vacation. Time and patience are a good thing to have.

I hate to start a fight over nothing, especially with a fellow 928er.

BTW, I'm in the Denver area meself, Castle Rock to be specific. Apparently you survived the blizzard.

Hey Simon...Ebay sets the rules of engagement. They normally set a time frame in which both parties are to commence finalization of the transaction, usually three days I think, unless otherwise stated. Personally I prefer to get matters done and out of the way asap. The party in question has had a week to get matters in order..so ,I think I would be sending this party a final notice of your pending transaction with notification that if no response is made within 24 or 48hrs your choice, then a complaint with Ebay will be executed. This gives the person a chance to respond and keeps the blame from falling back in your lap. That is my opinion for what ever it's worth. That is why they make rules. Good luck ...Bill 84 928s
