Default Why does my Defrost BLAST?

when i turn on the defrost i have ZERO fan speed control. it is wide *** open and full speed. plenty of heat but no fan control???
a/c works perfect and was completely redone recently.

ALSO, when the slide controls are in the "OFF" position i still have air coming thru the vents. it feels like outside air like???

thanks for your wisdom..

I'm pretty sure it's in the owner's manual. There's only the one setting, it's working fine.

Defrost beahvior is normal.

The fan is always running when the ignition is on. (Owners manaul, page 49) This is a common feature to assure air is flowing through the cabin to reduce the chance of CO poisoning should a leak develop in the exhaust system.

You can close off the side and center vents with the levers in them. The defrost vents and floor vents cannot be closed. (Owners manual, page 47)
