Question Seat Sections....

This is really a stupid post...but I'll do it anyway just for sh*ts and giggles...

There's an '82 for sale on Ebay. 1982, number 472, and it has seats that are slightly different from what I've seen in nearly all the 928's I've looked at.

Most 928's have like four seat bottom sections- these are the sections of the seat that stick up. Well, this '82 has like 7 sections...

I would have thought that someone would have made their own seats, or used 944 seats or something, but the rear seats have more sections too. I guess I don't know enough about '82's...but I thought there were only two seat patterns: the standard, and the sport seats of the later cars.

List item 2413220833...

Not quite so... Around that time Porsche offered manually adjustable sports seats that had a very different pattern. I was under the impression that those were only available in '83, but there is quite a possibility they were available earlier.

The seats in this car look like the seats in the first 928 I ever got a ride in - an early '83 model with those sports seats.

Yep, those manually adjustable sport seats were also around in '84.

I found these on Ebay, they looked interesting:

I'd like to sit in them first before buying though.

I dunno about the seats, but did you notice his car has the newest 996 Turbo wheels?
