Now all I need back is the Intake and cam covers.

Am I seeing this correctly? Is that the throttle assembly and the timing belt cover?? As well as the elbow to the intake?

How much was all of that??

*whistling at beauty* Wow. That is one nice engine on its way.

Very nice Eric.

I got some parts plated a couple of months back
<a href="http://www.928s4.com/project/photolibrary5/cam9.JPG" target="_blank">http://www.928s4.com/project/photolibrary5/cam9.JPG</a>
cheap too, as many parts as I could gather (pretty much) for $45.

Makes a big difference.

Chris,
Did you give them the parts right out of the car, or did you have to clean them an bead blast them for the $45?
Thanks, I'm doing the same cad plating soon.

Eric, those are beautiful! You have to post some pics when you're done.

I cleaned them, but they acid bath everything anyway, they did stipulate if I bought painted parts in it was going to cost for prep.

AWESOME!

I'm jealous!

So what about the oil filter housing?
That is one of the main parts that stands out in the middle of the engine... And the fan bracket, if you still have the mechanical fan...

I think one of the "Big 3" ought to have a chrome "exhange" program. They send you a set of chrome parts for your car, and you send them your old "core" parts...

Doubt that will happen.
I guess I will have to buy some used parts to chrome, so I can do a quick switchover to keep the car on the road... I hate downtime!
