I didnt think there was a 928S in the US Market until 1983

There wasn't unless a Euro car was imported.
The ebay car is just a plain old 928 with an S spoiler addded.

Nope, here's the 1980 with the factory installed 4 valve engine IN 1980!!!???

The 1981 928 could be purchased with what was called the "Competition Package" I believe this had the sway bars and the Bilsteins as well as sport seats and the spoiler.

People refer to them as the S cars, but the correct term was Competition Package. No engine mods were included with this.

The "Competition Package" was also aviable in 1982. And it had the limited slip dif.

Oh yes, I forgot about the LSD...my 81 has that as well...it helps a lot with the increase in HP.
