Thanks. I've been working on and off on it now for a week and I thought I was going to have some help today but ended up solo. It's my first, but going well so far!

Posting times can be delusional.....
It took me about 4.5 hours, or 7 days, or one quart of rum, depending upon your time keeping method

Yea, I spent 4.5 hours on one Bell Housing bolt...
At least it seemed like it.

But, its a great feeling when its finally out. Just a little nervous about getting it all back together and that anticipated moment when you turn the key for the 1st time.

Mike is right, they came from 928 specialists. They are a little $$$ but very nice and well constructed with good heavy padding.

6mil,
I am pulling the engine to do the following list that was planned, however I'm sure it will grow;
Repair bent valves
Intake refurb & powder coat
Torque tube/converter bearings
(Maybe change the converter stall RPM)
Rod bearings
Constantine clamp
Oil pan spacer (Mike Simard)
Steering rack mounts
A-Arm's
Clean, Clean, Clean....
And then after all is correct Murf Stage III

Nice going! Did you consider valve seats, head gaskets, crank shaft bearings, piston rings, front and rear seal, thermostat+ rings, oils spacer R&R, MM's, vacuum lines?

Nice job. So I take it the sale of the Viper is putting you into power withdrawal?

Mark,
Yes, I sold the Viper about a month ago. Actually sold it for much less than I expected and made the decision then to keep the shark and well, yes you hit the nail on the head. I have to have More Power.

I always liked the 928 better than the viper except for the large amount of torque/hp the viper has. With the 6 speed trans, it was a torque monster! However driving it would wear you out and the Gen II models were really fairly raw. The Gen III (2003's >)are much more driver friendly, but my Viper days are over, I am obisouly commited to the Porsche project.

Wish me luck, as I have a long road ahead but am very excited about project.
