Source for 8" H4 connectors?
A friend is converting his S4 to H4's and needs the female connector. He's already checked w devek and 928I (not sure about 928spec) and no-joy. Anybody know where you can get these?

Try 928 specialist. www.928gt.com
You may not find them on the website. However, they should be able to help you over the phone.

Jim:
I'm not sure of what you mean. I thought (and I may of course be mistaken) that all S4's came stock with 8" H4 lenses. That's what my GT has, and when I upgraded my 86.5 to S4 lenses, that's what I got and put on.
Are you sure it's H4 that he's trying to install?

Ed,
I know that all S4's came w 8" headlights but am pretty sure that they're H5, the US spec. Again, not an expert, but I don't think H4's are 'legal', they're much too efficient for the DOT :-). I've seen posts from people who have converted awhile ago (that I can no longer find) noting the difference in the connector. I tried to check this on the parts fiches: the euro fiche for 83-86 calls out an H4, the us version just calls for a 'sealed beam' and the US 87-91 fiche doesn't specify the bulb as H4 or H5.
Are you sure your bulbs are H4's and not H5's? You can tell if you shine on a garage door a few feet away...the H5's put out a 'blob' of light, the H4's have a distinct cutoff line that goes up and to the right.
I hope your's are H4..they're much better.
