Trying to remove the pass. side electric seat
from the car, but my fwd/back motor is dead!! Therefore I can't reach the rear bolts of the seat to remove it....The driver's seat works fine..The fuse is good, the switch is ok...only the motor is dead...Is there a manual way to slide the seat forward to access the rear bolts???

There is a small location in front of the seat to use an allen wrench to move the seat. I believe it is a 7mm!!? It does require a bit of force to turn so it's best if you have an allen socket w/ ratchet.

hello...
There is a tool that should be in the tool compartment that you can use to turn the hex. Be careful when turning the hex...the gears are palstic and it is very easy to strip them (like I did)...so now my pass seat is stuck all the way back.
hope this helps,
Roger

Thanks for your replies....However I can not find the location your are talking about...I looked under the front of the seat and all I see are wires....No allen screw like you describe...There are two 5mm allen screws which hold down the seat rail to the frame..I know about those screws...Are there are other screw or control to move the seat forward??? Mine is stuk all the way back...How in the world can anyone unbolt the seat if the motor is dead?? I need to get to the back screws to unbolt the seat from the base...I notices that there is a small lever on the front left side, under the seat and next to my dead motor...What is that lever for?? Any help will be appreciated...Thanks again!

At the front center of the seat there is a cross-brace that holds the motor in place. Facing forward is a hole into which a 6mm allen wrench fits. Turning the screw one way will move the seat forward. Turning the other way will move it back.
I strongly suggest that anyone who owns a 928 get an Owner's Manual and read it. There is an enormous amount of information in it that can only be gained by either countless hours of trial and error, or just a few minutes of reading. YMMV.

Maybe your seat is different, but on mine the hole to the screw is right at the front of the foward part of the seat.
Imagine sitting in the seat. At the base of the part of the seat that faces forward towards the foot rest is the corss brace that holds the foward/aft motor and the gears that propel the seat. There should be a screw facing slighlty upwards into which a 6mm allen wrench will fit. That's the manual adjustment screw. If you still can't find it, take the car to a 928 technician.

I finally got around to put the driver's seat on the scale...a whopping 48lbs with all
the rails + motor...just for reference a Sparco Speed racing seat is only 22lbs.
