He says that he has now painted it flat black. I wish there were pics of that. I have thought about painting a widebody satin black. I think it would look pretty mean.

"There is no AC/heating, console, dash, quarters, rear seats, door panels, or carpeting in Penny as she was destined for the track."
I notice he also has "racing oil" in the crankcase, track brake pads, S-4 front swaybar, and S-4 front calipers.
I guess they started out prepping the car for the track but never finished. I don't know why this car would be worth anywhere near the asking price. If it were anyone else selling an 81 with the same work done to it but an incomplete interior and missing A/c we would be saying it was $1000 car.
I think Mark needs to focus on getting a turbo kit to market and quit horsing around with a half hearted track car project. Its funny how everytime I ask about the turbo system progress, he responds that he hasn't had alot of time and that a customer should have a dyno chart soon. Blah, Blah, Blah. Has M.R. ever followed through with anything? His first turbo car always had mechanical issues (excuses) as to why the dyno charts were not valid. He sold that car and the new owner hadn't gotten it sorted out the last time I heard. The FAST superchargers left alot to be desired and ended up falling to the wayside. I'm sensing a pattern here. Its a shame.

This isn't my field at all, total newb here, but there's a lot of work into this thing, right? If you're buying a 928 on the cheap you're going to pull the engine eventually to deal with all the leaks. This thing has been gone through. parts alone are expensive, let alone all the labor. To me that would be worth something. Although, I"m not in a position to say if its worth 6900.. sounds like a really fun toy for track/De's autocross..

The add calls it "rebuilt" when it is more off a "fixed the leaking head gaskets and resealed the engine" . Fabio421 makes some excellent points...harsh but ...
