HVAC Blower Help

Well, my problem is in the climate control system. The fuse only blows when the climate control is switched to on. I believe that there may be a problem with a red/white wire that goes in to the head unit at 13L. I am a little confused, according to the wiring diagram (or at least my understanding of it) it turns to a red wire that comes from the Blower Inside Temp Sensor.
In trying to trace mine, I see the red/white wire turns into brown at the connector, then it disappears into a wiring harness that goes between the heater box and firewall.
Can anyone tell me what the Blower Inside Temp Sensor is and where it is located?
Is it possible that a short in this wire could be the source of of this problem?
If so, any tips on finding the short?
Thanks for any help.

Bob the inside air sensor is behind the small vent in the console.
The blower for this is a very low speed fan to draw cabin air across it (same location). First step - disconnect the connector - the AC will run fine without it (the temp control will not be so good but its a start).
If this allows the head unit to be turned on without blowing the fuse then its this motor at fault. It only has 2 connections for the motor this one and a ground. Unfortunately to replace it (or even access it) you need to get the console out...
