Default 1991 GT For Sale

I will be posting this car on the 'classifieds' as well as on the 928 OC sight and perhaps in Panorama; but just wanted to give a 'heads up' on my car. I rarely post since I don't have the time to responsibly return messages; so I won't put all the details on my car. For those who have been out to CMP in Kershaw, you've seen my black '91 GT and how great it runs on the track during the DE's. For Dave and Jeannie, they returned the interior to showroom new; when they replaced the carpet and reupholstered the two front seats. But there's lots of work done to it to make it a great street car, but even a better track car. Definitely not a show car. Trust me, it looks great, but it has a speckle of a 'rash' on the mirrors and a little on the hood. I hate to leave it, but I'm just to busy at work to really enjoy this car. I didn't buy it and modify it to get speeding tickets on the highway or to have a great looking car in the grocery store parking lot. I wanted to drive in DE's and do it well, but life comes at you fast, and with a beautiful and busy wife and three kids... just not going to happen. I'm not sure what I'll ask, and I'll hope to get a 'fair market value' I'm certainly open to suggestions, and knew that when I bought it that it wasn't going to be an investment. If anyone wants more info, just write me or return this thread.

Sorry, forgot to tell you that it has all the mounts internally for a 5 point harness setup using the rear strut tower brackets from Devek. The sidestrap mounts and substrap mounts are permanently mounted professionally. There are also two Corbeau Forza and ForzaII seats that have seen a few weekends of track time and are fitted with the sliders that fit the original seatmounts. The Shroth 5 point harnesses are still good for this year according to the new PCA rules, and really are in perfect shape otherwise.

+1 on the MUST post asking price

I'll go $6,500 with what information you've posted (dont let that other lowball bidder try and steal this on from you for only a quarter!)

Colin, your fans go out tomorrow.

Seriously, post some pics, and a price.

Sorry guys, although the KFC is sounding good. I have been looking at the '91 listed here as well as the 'original' '93 GTS, but really don't have alot to go on. I'm going to price it at $28K and probably not move too much. Very nice car...very loaded with the right stuff to go fast enough and have great handling. I'm not here to start a bidding war, and I appologize for placing it here instead of the classifieds; but I'm a month or so away from doing it for real, since I've got lots of vacations with the family planned and want to make plenty of time for potential buyers. It's a great GT with lots of extras and reasonably low mileage, so it will sell...no worries.

No worries, I'll always remember this as the day I almost bought a killer GT for $10,000 Lol
How about if I throw in a gift certificate for Bojangles , it's better than KFC you know?

I hope you get $28,000 for what you consider a track GT. That can only be good for the value of my car.

What is a Euro steering wheel? Did you deactivate the airbags or install the only available airbag aftermarket wheel from TechArt? The latter would have been a $1200 option that I have never seen in the US.

The original wheel is still in perfect shape, and I changed the wheel several years ago for one with a smaller diameter that was easier at the track. It is a factory original available in Europe on their cars without airbags. The one airbag is in the wheel that was taken off, and the other has been deactivated. The onboard computer had to be changed to Euro settings so that the alarm would not be constantly on showing an airbag fault.

If you look at what a nice GT is going for and add all the goodies..28K is really quite a steal considering all the maintenance is done, it is mechanically sound, it has fresh rubber for street and track, supernice street wheels, and a handling package that is adjustable on the shocks as well as the road height for corner balancing.

Sorry to boast...just really proud of this machine

As a fellow black 91GT owner I really hope you get your price, however, once you take a car away from stock in terms of function or purpose you almost certainly reduce its value. You're looking for someone who would make the same choices for the car that you've made and who's willing to pay for having them done already. I'm afraid it's unlikely you'll find that person. I think you'll find that the value of your car has been reduced by the changes you've made.

yeah what he said

But still please get your car on as many websites as possible with that price. If every GT owner asked that amount and wouldnt settle for less then guess what, the GT is worth that amount because you cant buy one for less then that.
