I just installed the Specialist boot the other day. I already had the Jager shifter in black/carbon.
it all looks SO, SO MUCH better. Its not even a comparision to the old T handle and accordian boot! IMHO.

Gain 3.5 HP as well.

Just took these a few moments a go....So far i love the look of the manual boot in the Auto. Anyone sell a fake clutch pedal

This one below just shows my rear seats and trim that i redyed to match the front ones. They came out great! The bungy cord holds the Bazooka tube behind the seat in place

Tony,

The new boot looks very nice. I just got the confirmation from UPS that mine is on the way. By the way, when you changed your seats to the new ones that you have now, did you gain any headroom.

Looks great Tony. How about changing the color of your casette holder to gray? I have been thinking of doing this - seems to be common on the GTS.

Also, what material do you have around your clock? I used carbon fiber around around mine but is less noticeable than yours.

Wonder if that shifter boot comes in red and how it would look - hmmmm?

As for the head room, im not really sure. I think i may have a little bit more, not much though. I have the seats set as low as the will go...as i did with the stock seats as well.

I thought about redying the cassette holder as well. I may do it later. Since the center console is still black i like the fact that the cassette holder is as well. It looks more connected to the console when it is the same color..grey wouldnt look right with the black console.IMHO

I tend to agree with Tony on the casette holder color.

Short boot, full boot, BIG boot - we never had so many choices! WOW!

It's just a matter of time until we completely disguise our auto shifters under a one-piece **** and boot combo as in the manual 928s. A button hidden under the piece of leather theat usually shows the shift pattern, and the illusion is perfect. Well, except for that dummy clutch pedal that Tony is already looking for...

So much fun, so little time!

Yes, we can do red, plus all factory leather colors and more !

Glad you guys and gals like the boot kit !!.

I have another simple inexpensive surprise coming for the 5-speed gang , especially for the early cars... stay tuned !

Have a great 928 weekend,

Sorry about that,

[quote] Any plans at 928 Specialists to develop one for the earlier auto models that retains the lighted PRND21 section ?

We could make the short boot kit for around $19 or so if there was enough interest. I am always open to suggestions or any creative ideas concerning this (or anything 928).

Have a great 928 weekend,

Our boot has quite a bit of sewing that is especially tricky at the top. So our supplier, who is very talented, takes a lot of time to produce these.

Our installation on the long boot is a bit tricky, but coupled with an SS or AL plate the results are very nice. The flat surface of the shift plate is conveniently retained as well the stock drive letters.

P.S. Thanks Randy for the invitation.

Ahh, the competition heats up!

For those of us who do not have the "heads up" display, the Jager is the only way to go.

I just received mine with the aluminum indicator plate and GTS shifter. I've got some other items that need tending before I install it, but it looks very cool on my desk!

I also got the seat, etc swithch decals - for everyone who's swithch icons have disappeared, this is a very cool solution.

I really do know how to spell swithch - I just choose not to reveal my knowledge...

That is a nice set up Jager has there. Wonder how many hits his web site got after that was posted. Just a bit pricey though. Since if I was to go that far I'd have to buy it all to keep the theme going throughout the car. Just have to match the Burgandy leather in my car. Hey Christmas isn't too far away, time to send the wife a couple of links and a wish list.
