Throttle Respone Problem
I dopn't know if the subject heading fits the description of what's ailing my shark, but in detail -
84 Euro S2 Auto 89k
The car starts on ignition, warms up no problem - under normal loads, she drops to an idle and purrs li1ke a healthy kitten - Upon Heavy Loads (I.E. if I throw the pedal to the floor and bring her up to 6k rpm) she'll drop down to an idle but with a chug - and she'll chug for about 15-20 seconds and then smooth out. If I try to bring her up again to 6k, while she's in chug mode, she'll rev high but not as smooth. But again, if I let her idle, she'll smooth out.
A couple of things I need to let everyone know -
1. The fuel pressure regulator is not hooked up. The device which is mounted to the cross brace and has one brown wire and one black wire. The brown wire is grounded to the engine and the black wire is hanging in the wind (not really but it's not hooked up). (Never was an issue before)
2. The battery is weak and needs a full charge but she still starts on her own.
I have new wires but have not yet replaced my cap, rotors or plugs.
Any feedback would be great! -

Assume S2 means L -jet?
'Fuel press regulator is not hooked up' and 'thing attached to cross bar..' - this 'thing' on my K-jet is an idle lifter solenoid (extra air) for when AC is switched on, not a pressure regulator.
The pressure regulator is on the fuel rails with a vacuum hose connected (is it?), and an excess fuel return line coming off it. If the vacuum line is off, or leaking, you will have max pressure all the time, instead of reduced pressure at idle and other high vacuum times. If the regulator has failed by leaking fuel (pull the vac hose, smell for gas) you will get excess fuel in the system - when it is chugging, does the exhaust smell very gassy, or is it lean?

First of all, thanks for the Reply.
I will have to apologize for the incorrect information regarding, what I thought was the FPR.
Start:WPOZZZ92ZES8n0001 End:WPOZZZ92ZES8nnnnn

Type:928S2
Engine:4664cc 310hp 16valve Twin Distributor
Engine Code:M28/21 (5 speed manual) / M28/22 (4 speed auto)
Injection:LH-Jetronic
It seems that the issue has resolved itself. I speculate that it was a "brain" reconfig issue and the system needed time to re-adjust. So far, after driving around for about an hour, the problem hasn't reoccured. I guess patience is a virtue after all. Thanks again for the feedback, I appreciate it.
