Default Solid Motor Mounts? Anyone running these?

Hello,

New here and was wondering if anyone is running these motor mounts from 928 Motorsports. If so, your input.

Thank You!

For racing or on the street...?

These were not intended for street use - though there are solid rubber versions if you are concerened about the stock units longevity.

Carl posted a thread about them recently (last few week).

It will be for both. Probably more street, but not really worried since its mainly going to be a weekend or short distance car. I will search for Carl in the forums. Is that his username?

Got it! I think you are talking about this thread:

Yes, Carl is the maker of these Solid Mounts, but I was looking for input on others using his product. This way I have another opinion and not a bias one. Thanks for the information Anyone?

Well note he posted availability only at the end of Jan'08 - so its unlikely that even someone who ordered them right away would have installed them yet...

I think this is likely to be a very low volume item too... applicable to mostly racers...

I guess I need to get my money back from those speed reading classes in the 80's I missed that part that it was just released. Heck 15 days came and went. Someone overnight them and test 'em out

You don't say what year your 928 is. Carl's mounts require an early crossmember.

Do you think you will be placing any strain on other components by removing the engine mounts that provide insulation from both vibration and shock?
