elevating 928s for service
#16
i bought these ramps when i worked on old muscle cars. they are very strong and heavy. this is not a walmart car ramp.they also slope very smoothly so low cars like my 94 vette would roll write up. ( as well as the 928). i also bought the middle brace so you can pick up the car take all the wheels up and mounty it to jack stands from there ( or bottle jacks ) .you lift the car by the rear cross member with a simple floor jack and the rear legs pop out. if it can handle the cuda it can handle a 928 weight anyday

I use 4 6-ton Craftsman stands at the jack points, then use an additional 4 3-ton stands under the frame rails and the rear cross-member. Plus, I also leave the jack up, but not touching, near where I am working

kwik lift, the safe way to work. Lets see, how much is your survival worth to you. Just think by using the wrong stuff for a few seconds, can cost you a life time of misery.

Tom,
Is that a vinyl mat underneath your lift? If yes how do you like it and is it easy to keep clean?

i actually painted that part of the garage floor with quick cote i believe is the name. hot tires do not effect it and oil does not soak in it just beads to the surface.clean up is very easy. i just found the light grey with the high shine makes it easier to find bolts that fall .

the height was great when i was working on the oil pan and oil cooler lines. the main reason i bought the kwik lift was from my wife who had i real problem with a car up on stands with our kids running around playing flash light tag . no matter how many stands you put up it always seemed dangerous.
