Post media Blasting in SoCal

Hey all,
Now that my S4 is down for a while (supposed LH computer Failure), I wanted to get some other stuff done that requires, well, down time.

My front bumper cover needs a real good blast down, and repaint. I have been quoted all over the place, but will farm it out to get good service, and good price. I have the time.

Anybody know of a realy good media blast place in SoCal, preferrably in the San Diego area? I need to have all that paint stripped off, and will take off the bumper, obviously, to do it.

Post here if you wish, otherwise, email at addy below.

Brendan

I had mine done at Crown Coachworks in West LA. High end shop, does mostly MB, Porshe, BMW, Ferrari, Rolls, etc..

Filled license plate holes, repaired PO's gouges, etc... and did a great job matching my paint. Looks brand new.

Charged me $200. If I had them do the dismantle/reinstall I think the quote was about $700 (it's time consuming, but not hard).

2122 Sepulveda Blvd (b/t Olympic and Santa Monica), 310-575-0700. If Ron Gross is in he'll remember doing mine.

Hit me on the SOCAL board if you're going to take it there and I'll give them a call before you go.

Thanks for your response.

I found a place down here that does blasting work for 100 an hour, and it "shouldn't take that long" was thier time idea.

I just have to find somebody to paint it, and have a few ideas locally, but will remember your source when the time comes. There is work to be done underit, so I have all the time in the world.

Did you simply tell him to match the color? Did you give him the color code?

Gave him the color code, but then they did some adjustment for the fading. Still looks brand new after two years.
