Never seen this one before. I'd be happy to go look if anyone would like.

EDIT: It's in the Registry:

Year: 1990 Warranty: No VIN Number: WP0JB2923LS860501 Get the Vehicle History Report Title: Clear Exterior: Black Condition: Used Inspection: -- Options Leather Seats Sunroof CD Player Passenger Airbag Driver Airbag Anti-Lock Brakes Side Airbags Cruise Control Power Windows Air Conditioning Power Seats Power Locks Vehicle Description 1990 Porsche 928 GT Mint condition with low miles. Runs, drives, and looks outstanding......often mistaken for a new car. Extremely well cared for with ALL maintenance up to date. You will not find a better example of this fine breed anywhere! Options include (474) Sport Shocks and Supple Leather. Black on Black Leather.......classic combination. A true no issue 928 GT that is absolutely stunning. Garaged, covered, and never smoked in. No track time. Exterior: No dings or dents No accidents Paint is shiny and in superb condition......regularly washed and waxed with great care. Chrome Design 90 wheels done by Wheel Enhancement with custom inlaid center crests. No wheel rash, all in perfect condition. Michelin Pilot Sport tires, 85% left on rears, 90% left on fronts....near new condition. Professional medium window tint installed......excellent condition. Interior: Black leather in great condition. Even drivers seat bolster shows very minimal wear. ( I take great care getting in and out of it. ) Passenger and back seats show almost no use at all. Exceptionally clean. No warped or faded panels. No door or center column vinyl peeling. No dash cracks or warpage, no pod cracks. Headliner in excellent condition. Back panels in mint condition. Carpet looks new. Steering wheel / shifter shows no wear at all, looks new. Factory luggage cover in perfect condition, no fading or rips. New front and rear floormats with red 928 GT logo. All tools in tool kit, spare never been on the ground, complete Porsche air compressor and jack. Two keys with colored crest lighted heads. Mechanical: All books and records, window sticker. ( I keep a notebook and Excel file of the maintenance.) Correct GT engine and transmission codes. Timing belt, water pump, rollers and tensioner rebuild just completed. (You will need to retension the belt around 1.5k miles from now) Perfect running condition.......idles as it should and is smooth as silk up to redline. Suspension is in excellent condition.....no creaks, groans, etc. The Sport Shock option (474) was not standard on all GTs (except the '89) and makes a GT equipped with them the best handling stock 928 ever offered. Shifter is very tight and shifts very cleanly. No transmission issues. A/C has been completely resealed. New O-rings, new expansion valves, new drier. No leaky climate control, all vents work as they should. Vent temps that will make you turn it down even on a hot day. Still R-12 and works better than any R-134 system I have come across. Motor mounts replaced with genuine Porsche parts. ( why with 28k miles?, because 15 year old motor mounts are hard as rocks, old ones looked almost new but were very hard. The motor now gently rocks as it did from the factory! ) No leaks. No cam cover, no oil pan, no steering rack, no tranny leaks. Caps, rotors, and plugs replaced @ 25k. Fuel filter replaced. Clutch and torque tube in great shape.....no strange noises and perfect operation. Clutch fluid flushed and blue supply hose replaced. All fluids flushed. Mobil Synthetic always used in engine and trans. Correct ride height and no-lift alignment performed. No funny tire wear. RDK system works great. ABS system works great. PSD flushed and in perfect working order. All electronics work as they should. Windows, sunroof, seats, rear hatch, wipers, lights, computer, clock, etc. NO warning lights at all. All intruments work as they should. ( including gas, oil, coolant, and volts ) Brakes are near new and are in perfect shape.....no noise. ( yes I spend the money and buy the brake pad dampers ) Black brake calipers still look shiny and new as does the Porsche logo on them. Both belly pans in tact and are in great shape. Engine bay is very clean as you can see. No peeling manifold or valve cover paint. No flaking hood foam......100% in tact. Recently inspected and passed with flying colors......always has. Fresh oil and filter change. Audio: All speakers have been carefully replaced with MB Quarts using the stock speaker grills and mounts. As you can see in the pictures you really can't tell them from stock.....a look I wanted to keep. Head unit is a tasteful black Alpine CD unit. There is a small enclosure covered in black vinyl that matches the interior in the hatch area hidden by the luggage cover. It houses two small premium amps and two small 6" JL subwoofers. This enclosure can be removed if you wish as nothing in the interior was harmed or modified to accept it. This is not a typical stereo junkie hack job with huge woofers, and big heavy boxes. It is an excellent sounding system with no noise and a stock appearance....stealth, craftsmanship, and fine sound were the only goals here. (please email if you would like more details) Much, much more to tell. I am a meticulous owner when it comes to this car. Basically any little thing that was needed has been attended to and it shows.....right down to the last nut and bolt. This is not the normal 928 that needs $5k to get it in decent driving condition......it is mint and drives and shows like it is new. This is my third 928 and fourth Porsche. I have loved them all, but its time for something different now and I have a new Porsche on order......that is the only reason I am selling it. Please don't ask me what the reserve is. If you are familiar with 928s you know that finding a very low mileage GT in mint condition is very rare and getting more impossible to find all the time. This is truly an exceptional car that anyone would be proud to own, drive, and enjoy every day. Please email me with any questions you may have: 928gt@atxg.com

Yeh...but if I were buying that car, I'd carefully think about every word and spend lots of time looking at the fotos and have someone go check to make sure the description matched the description. Better yet, I'd let this group pick it apart. Not much gets by this list. I'm always saying, "Why didn't I notice that?" This appears to be a great car. Not sure what his bottom line is though.

Actually, I read the description anyway. Too many cars, so little garage space!

The really nice part about where that 928 is....there are LOTS of very knowlegable 928ers local & Greg Brown is just around the corner (maybe 15 miles)..... If your serious about the car.....arrange a PPI with Greg & pay whatever it costs...since its money well spent....he will find EVERYTHING you need to know about the car.....

Yet another nice 928 I can't afford.....

Iceman,

I'd give my left nut for that car...but,unfortunately, there's not much market for those things, even if they are in great shape.....and, I have to admit, it does have lots of miles. Wish I could turn back the odometer and re-live a few of the runs.

That California '90 928 looks like it's hardly broken in. If I'd never had a math class and thought I had a chance, I'd consider buying a lottery ticket.

Apparently there is a 10,000 mile discrepancy with carfax.

H2 - Is it the car or your left nut that is in great shape, has a lot of miles and no market?

Come on you can't let Charley "tie" you.....he now has 3.5 928's (944 counts as .5) and you only have 3.......

Of course I'm stuck with only 1

Leaking clutch fluid last time I moved it. Haven't had a chance to look at it.

I just don't dare drive the 88 until I get the belt changed.
