That video of Anderson is SWEET....I thought it was on Cartv.....I think he had to start at the back due to a clutch failure in qualifying or practice....spent all his time fixing the clutch just it time to make the start of the race at the back.......

I just wish we could see his Tach , it sounded like he was winging it up pretty good on a couple of those passes !! avoiding shifting to get a nose ahead of the other cars. I do so enjoy watching him in traffic instant decisions to maintain momentum faking to one side to commit they guy in front then taking away the other line.... He really is a very good driver drives like he has a pile of spare body parts....for the car

I notice that i start shrugging my shoulders watching some of those needle threading passes. almost as cool as that Bathhurst video with the lotus'. have you seen it? actually cooler, as that sound and power are amazing (and he DOESNT hit or touch anyone )

It is just like the figure 8 racing that Jesse James enjoyed doing.....only one person has to flinch for the other car to fly through. You do not want to hit them just make them think that you might.

This works in road racing as well. Lots of time I stick my nose in places hoping to surprise or shock someone. I have no intention of making a pass there but I want them to think I might.
And as Jim says I have lots of body panels back at the office and I make sure my competitors with $5k doors know that.

Now i know what you are saying to everyone as you cruise around . I thought you were just real social.

"Hi, Im Mark Anderson, I have the white 928. I own 928 intl, and have 100's of fenders, bumpers and doors in stock in white. Nice to meet you, see you on the track"

WOW...that guy has some serious stones!!

It seems like as he gets further up the field, the easier he passes people....did have a Exige S against normal Elises or something? Some of those inside passes were REALLY close to the wall...damm

Whats kinda funny is, yes Anderson does have a shop full of 928 body parts....but very few will actually work on his racer....his front and rear fenders are quite a bit different than stock.....maybe only the hood-doors & rear bumper are still stock?

My dad's in his 70's. Kept watching this video over and over. Calls the other cars "pesky rear-engined 9-whatevers". Lots of em.

The bit where he's shooting past them is quite a steep downhill section. I'd estimate his nads were at least 5 times bigger than the other guys.

I recall seeing a 928 racing in the Porsche support race at the Gold Coast Indy years ago. I wonder if they ever did any events at Bathurst. I'd love to see a 928 go around Bathurst. That has got to be the best track in the world.

After watching the Bathhurst 1000, its pretty hard to watch any other racing now. kind of like going skiing at Whistler /Blackcomb. once you go there, all other mountians seem like bunny hills.

Bathurst in a 928 would be a kick! Sears, meets laguna seca, meets the "Ring".

It used to be great watching the Aussie V8's here in Mexico, but then SpeedChannel decided to do a localised version of it here (probably for Mexico and Argentina) and they have spanish commentators (doing an absolutely crap job of it).

Wouldn't be a problem if they used the dual-audio satellite channel the was it was intended, but they put the Spanish audio over the top of the English instead, and you can just hear portions of the EXCELLENT English commentary (best in the world IMHO) which is VERY frustrating for an Aussie V8 fan!

When I was in NZ last time I bought the Sony PS2 V8 Supercar game. Very excited, I was. Got back here, chucked it on my son's PS2 and of course it work because the bastards regionalised their games like the stupid DVD market. Grrrrr.
