I am pressurizing the system I do hear a leak; now I need help so not to over pressurize it. How long should it hold pressure?

Did you run a vac line to the blow-off valve?

Wouldn't make a difference with respect to surging.

Seems to be coming from the front of the TB not sure.
Anyone have a good way to track a leak, soap or some type of liquid to see it bubbling.

What are you pressurizing? The intake I assume? How much pressure are you putting in there? You will get some leaking through the throttle plate bearings but it would be very small. If you had a leak during acceleration it would cause an extreme rich condition with the sc system in place, not a lean condition.

Maark, I may be able to borrow a smoke tester and head your way at some point this weekend. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Default Not a rag on Tim post!

I been thinking about all my ramblings on getting my kit installed. It seems I talk out loud to figure things out and this could lend it's self to people coming to a wrong conclusion.

I have to tell you this kit was designed with ease of install and with top notch hardware allowing someone like me to actually install it. I want to make it very clear Tim's kit and his help has been been above the norm, called good customer service. I'm sure I'm driving him crazy with a million questions but he has shown me a lot of courtesy every time.
What I'm concerned about is that someone may take this tread and come to the conclusion that the Murf kit has issues causing this surging etc.
Any modifications to the venting system and a few other tweaks were to be accepted and were expected.
I begged him to sell me this kit, against I'm sure his better judgment. He wanted to get an 86 under his belt, prove and tested like his other kits before he offered it.
Part of our agreement was for me to find any unique fitments related to the 85-86 which I brought up on other posts as I worked on the car; but maybe I should have not posted this and kept it between Tim and I. I certainly don't want to lend the feeling that this kit is not what it is advertised to be. I'm sure dropping my Maf, not correctly installing the boot and having air leaks had nothing to do with my :bang head::bang head:. issue now If it ain't broke fix it until it is.
I'm learning a lot and would do it all over again, but wait till Tim got his prototype done first.
By sleuthing out and the help of the members I hope we can all learn a little bit I am that's for sure.
Just needed to get this off of my chest I kind of feel bad that this could be viewed as a negative post.

Shawn that would be great:
My next step is to hook up my FP gauge and see whats happening when getting on it. I hope the hose is long enough to put it on my wipers. Mike is bring a loaner Maf on Sat to see if that might be it. It seems to be a fuel delivery issue I am getting very excited to drive it and want it done "My Heart". On one test drive all the stars aligned and the car took off like a rocket kind of teasing me I guess. It must be something I have done and an easy fix but this must be a purgatory stop off to satisfy the 928 God's.

Have you tried disconnecting the boost tube from the MAF and going for a spin. If you have, does it still surge as if the SC was still hooked up?

Besides what's been suggested so far, check the wiring at the MAF connector, and make sure the full throttle switch is working correctly.

Default Found the problem!

After a long journey I found the problem for the surging.
When I removed the Maf to check on any broken wires I found "this see picture". Apparently the intake pipe from the Supercharger was too far in the boot this caused the air flow to swirl causing my surging. Took it for a drive A/F looks good and man the power now I need to settle down and put all the little pieces back in and enjoy it.
Thanks for all your help in my project!

Mark,

Congrats on finding your problem!! I know what it is to be working and working on an issue and it ends up being something totally simple. We become too close to the problem that it impedes our ability to see thing objectively.

Now all you have to do is try and keep from collecting too many tickets from Hillsborough County Cops.
