I bought it for $2500
* runs well
* significant amount of interior damage (center console, leather dash, under hatch)
* "!" light comes on and goes away
* no tools, compressor, spare, manual
* previous owner put a bright yellow Maaco paint job on it (all over the trim)-- destroyed the manhole wheels-- and neglected this big-bottomed lady.
I figure $4k in work and she's fine once again.
I have spent the last 5 days obsessively searching the web-- phoning Devec and Parts Heaven-- ordering the basics from 928intl-- and learning ALL I can.... for I am a PorscheNewbie.

Three Wheelin'
zilla '82,
Go for it, Dude!
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Event the seemingly obvious stuff can throw you off. (read the A/C stuff I asked about).
2 words of advice- Timing belt.
A great place to start.
Good luck,
Greg
