I like the wheels too though I would not recommend buying them for a 928.
They are more for use with the 996 which uses bolts. The opening for the lugs is only 22mm, so a standard lug wont work. It requires very special ones. I was told they would need a 6mm spacer to clear the calipers. So I got a 7mm one, no go, so I used my 21mm spacer I had and have rolled the rear fenders. I have 295/35ZR19 in the KDW2 waiting to go on the rear.
they are a 10.5" rear.

I got the materials for doing up the pan and am about to go get started on that now.

Well I picked up a new AC delco altenator today, and mounted it. I had a friend make the bracket for it, but I think I will end up redoing that bracket as it looks horrible.
I also got the aluminum sheeting for the pan and have enclosed the front of the pan. I still need to add the feed for the factory oil pump, and the two parts for suction to it. I ended up doing the welding with the pan bolted straight to the block to eliminate it from warping. I will find out in the morning if that worked or if I will have to take it to a shop and have it straightened from all the welding heat.

I would post pics of the work I got done today but photobucket is failing me and not uploading the files. So maybe later.

I will be modifying a factory waterpump, for that. plugging the origonal hole and getting a larger bearing on it. I will also then be reversing the flow through the engine so that the heads are cooled first.

The electric pump will not be mounted on the engine. but it wil be in the engine bay

Sheesh, I'm going to have to make it myself, uh-ghen.

I need a flat plate with two rollers for the belt length for VVTS. I was thinking about even using something like a V-belt driven (Mercedes 230 water pump).

The top down cooling should be...cool, if you can get the air out. Are you going to put a bleed hose from the ⅝ rear blockoff?

I know that my stainless welds arent all that pretty, just got a bigger welder and am playing with the settings and angles etc. But they are air tight and that is what matters.

I also finished welding up the rear of the oil pan, haven't added the holes for the suction lines yet, or the spout for the pickup. Will be doing that soon.
I have done a leak test on the oil pan, and it appears that it is completely sealed, no leaking.

Hey Colin, are you going to be close to home around May 24/25?

I will be down in the lower mainland to attend IT4BC on the 22/23, and was hoping to see your handiwork 1st hand.

Regards
Ken

Any updates Colin? I think I am going to do the split rads on either fender as well. Makes more room for an Air-Air IC.

With the WP, are you changing anything at the bridge, etc? I didn't see that in your posts.
