Banzai Runner
Any of you remember this movie from the 80's?

We all think of Scarface, or Weird Science, when we think of 928 movies.
But this one is made for car people...
Here's the synopsis:

When Baxter learns that the Runners might be transporting cocaine, he goes undercover to chase down the lead Runner in a destructive winner-take-all test of speed and endurance.

Guess what the "Lead Runner" drives?
Heh heh heh!

Don't forget the final race between the 928 and the Pantera!! Great movie - well for the time.
You also forgot the mention the two 928 car movies where they are damaged:
Risky Business
Cannonball Run II

The wife got me to watch "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" the other day. And towards the end of the movie, as they are going to the airport, there is a clear shot of a silver Pre-S4 928S. My wife got pissed when I "had" to stop the DVD and watch it in slow motion. It was in frame for maybe 2 seconds, but it made the movie worthwhile for me.
Andrew, I saw that too - didn't have the nerve to stop the movie though
... Seriously, it was on a flight to Caracas - the other passengers would probably have dropped me without a parachute
Saw "Grosse Pointe Blank" yesterday - I'm almost certain I saw a dark-green pre-S4 (old style front) parked outside a shop there.

I remember that movie, starring that guy from "Quantum Leap" and some unknown--some of the worst acting I ever saw, but alot of nice cars. I still remmeber the line when he is convincing the higher-ups on the force that he needs the Pantera "That's a true 200 MPH car". Then at the end what looks like a Testors' model of a Pantera blows up. And the Plymouth Police car, that the mechanic builds--looks like a regular police car with a hood scoop, Pro-comp rear springs, and a "Moroso" air cleaner/valve covers.
