The temp guage needle on my 85s euro has decided to park itself at or below the lower mark on the scale once warmed up. Never above. Fan kicks in when it reaches the mark, engine temp seems normal.
Is the sender on the water pump for the injection brain only, or does it feed the guage also?
If not, where is the sender for the guage?
Any other tips to sort this out?
Thanks.

There is a sensor on the heater connector on rear of RH head - two wires - may be the one. Remove air inlet hose, top of air cleaner you should see it - may need to remove lower air cleaner case to get access to it.

as far as i remember there are two sensors on top of the thermostat housing at the front of the engine.
one has two wires going to it. this feeds info to the two ecu's (injection and ignition).
the other has a single wire, and believe this one feeds the temperature gauge.
have fun.....i think damp string would of been more reliable in the 928!!
