Default How to fit a 928 into a 4’x8’ utility trailer

One of my 928's was fatally wounded in an accident in the late 90’s and has recently donated it’s organs so that other 928s may live. It has officially been laid to rest by the Sawsall.

That there is a complete unibody minus the roof which made a separate trip to the dump last weekend. It went off the road sideways and the jaws of life were used to extract the passenger (wasn't my car at the time). Here’s a better picture, recognize any 928 sections? There all there.

Looks kinda boxy, slow, and hard to get in and out of... Are you sure it's not a 944?

For $50 Rich S. had the body picked up and carted off whole.

Looks a LOT like one of Dan's 944's. Partial to the red one as you may have figured

It also makes it very clear where the term "chop shop" came from I did put away a 912 in this fashion but it all went into a standard garbage can over a few weeks but it was already lightened by corrosion.

Scavengers on craigs list advertise that they will take cars with no paperwork , they will then they cut them into 1/4 pieces or smaller and haul them in as Autobody shop "parts". The steel has some value but they often ask for a nominal payment when they get to the house and see the car. The funny one for me was watching a guy in Mexico cut a car in pieces with a standard AXE ! He had more time than money or tools but that car was going to fit into the back of his pickup truck !

having done this before as well I can understand why you did this, plus if you get it into a pickup and take it to the scrap metal place they will give you cash for the metal, with the sound deadening left on it too haha.

that must have been one HEAVY hit looking at that front passenger side lower a arm mounting point!

It's a sad day to see any of them go the way as this, but after stripping a few of them (it hurts, I'm emotional like that) I know there are several around here that are ready for the same treatment.

Every part that can be reused will be.

Jim, if you find one that has a pristine Navy Blue interior, please let me know. I wannit.

MAN...If I would have known you were going to scrap that, I would have made a trip to see the Parental Units up that way and hacked off a part of the frame I need to lighten your work load.
