I have to think that color has something to do with this car not being sold yet.

Looks like salmon to me, nice car regardless. Thats the only reasoning i can see why this is still available.

I'm sure the color limits the interest. If you have never seen the color before in person, and most haven't given how rare it is, you have no idea what you are looking at. I know that would scare me a bit. I was lucky enough to first see the color in person on a 964 Turbo and loved it! I made an offer on the 928 and closed the deal about 1 hour after it went up for sale. I knew it could literally take many years before another became available.

The color is hard to capture in pictures as it changes a lot under different light conditions. Sometimes it looks more like copper. Other times it looks more reddish. Nearly everyone who has seen it in person comes away with 'wow, I had no idea that color looked so good. I love it.' Of course some people still don't like it but they are just ignorant and can't be helped.

I was out at my track house garage this weekend, where the car is currently being stored, and got very depressed looking at the car knowing its for sale. I almost had second thoughts, thinking back to my last spirited drive in it during the Third Coast weekend. I wish I had more time on my hands so that I could keep her but finding drive time has been tough of late. My back-up race car was also sold due to lack of use, it leaves for Australia next week to make its new owner very happy.

7 cars, 2 drivers, and plans to run a full race season this year. I just don't have the time to drive and maintain the whole fleet.

I ADDED a shark but haven't received notification of the meeting yet, either...
I 'heard serendipitously' through Jim M. that it was again going to be in Bartonville.
I was thinking that was perhaps a 'one time event' and that it would be back at Lewisville...
Bartonville is the 'new Einsteins?'

Doc
PS: Yes, this coral red car is a sweet looking gem of a car, having seen it in person!
Three cars is enough, for this doc, for now, however.
Someone's going to get a GREAT ride!
All the best with the sale, Rob!
