Dangerous for transmission ???
I need to move my shark that i began restoring (interior) but i know it lost problably almost the auto transmission oil. The car will move only a few feet , back and forward and the engine will turn around 15 minutes , is there any danger for my transmission ?
P.S. ( i know i should take care of that leak first
but i'm not ready to do the mechanics yet )
Thanx

If you only have to move it a short distance, buy a twelve-pack of beer and invite neighbors to help you push it. Wish I was there...I'd push for a beer.

T_Max - That's a good idea, I think when I switch to synthetic I will head off to Home Depot for one of those.
I bought (at GI Joes) a pump that fits in a regular quart size container.
I was using the minny oil can the PO provided, what a mess.

Automatic transmissions use fluid and a pump to generate hydraulic pressure to tighten a brake band on a planetary gear set drum . They do not tolerate slipping so trying to drive without enough fluid is a very bad idea .
