Here's a comparo--
If you took a mid-80's OB, and put a new GTS motor in it, would it be worth $15k? Would you do better selling the new GTS (or LS7...) motor outright and saving yourself the aggravation of installing it? I'll speculate that the new motors are worth more in the crate than they are installed in one of these. It's sad I know, but...

Three Wheelin'
Only will fetch $25k if it comes with a suitcase of $15k cash in the back. I have no philosophical objection to a different power plant, especially one that has reliably put out higher horsepower for years. How many 2/6 or TB failures do we see in those engines?

Mason,
While I appreciate you enthusiasm for improving the performance of your recently acquired 928s, please tread gently as you have not yet spent a few $'s for a Rennlist membership.
As a Porsche enthusiast, I would NOT install a non-Porsche engine in my 928s.
If you have the need for more power - supercharge.

LS7 just go buy a Vette and be done with it.I have a 67 VW bug that I drag race that has run a 9.98 in the quarter with a VW engine and a kid came up to me and said it would be neat if it had a small block Chev in it. PORSCHE THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE !!!!!!

Also, Adam - please refrain from 'shaking down' non-Members to pay for Membership.
It is their right to choose to do so, or not.
Now, if they start posting non-928 content here because they don't have access to the Members-only OT forum, rest assured they'll be 'counselled'.
