Relying on the very helpful information posted on some of the better-known shark sites, I confidently started my task of fixing my driver's side door mechanism which had failed. The door could only be opened from the inside.
Let me start by saying that I NEVER, EVER, want to have to do this again.
My hands and wrists have battle scars from working in such a confined space.
Total cost: $40 for the broken part and 4.5 hours of my life.
The worst part was trying to re-attach the parts that needed to be forced on with a flathead screwdriver...with so little workspace, there's no leverage. I must have dropped parts into the door shell a few dozen times.
BUT IT'S FIXED!!!!!
Thanks to all who offered their help!! <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />
