The place I'm having mine done charges $10 per piece, regardless of size...sort of.

most places will charge based on the amount of prep-work required as well. save yourself some money and make sure it is clean and grind off all the little things...

I gave up grinding all of the weld seams off after going through about $25 worth of discs.

You can grind the seems very easily if you use a standard grinding wheel that is made for steel. Then follow up with a blending wheel or some 120 grit sand paper.

using "grinding wheels" would have probably been less expensive than your standard "sanding disc".

none-the-less all the powder coating i have had done they charged me a fairly cheap rate for the powder coating BUT the prep was was where the cost was.
so to answer the topic question, depending on prep work somewhere between 125 and 200 would be normal in this part of the country.

Consider ceramic coating (aka Jett Hot) instead of powder coating.

Same price, but ceramic coating has additional insulating properties.

If you guys are talking about a bench grinder - I started there. Did not work any better. So post pics and/or specific specs if I'm missing something here since I have two more to do

Hi Randy,

Can Ceramic Coating work on wheels, etc? Besides the insulating properties, what are the advantages? Got a recommended Ceramic Coating Shop here in San Diego?

$300.0. To have the whole motor powdercaoated locally.
intake, spider, plenum, water bridge, cam housing, heads, misc. brackets and oil pan. Left the block in its normal finish...headers were "jet hot' ceramic coated.

Wow you powder coated the heads. Where did you find the intake boots? Plenum to runner.

For the boosted 16V crowd I'm working on a setup that will use a better silicone hose & stronger clamps.
