Thats probably worst problem which will prevent them from working properly.

Did the CupI's come with 36psi sensors all around?
IIRR yes.

Those are a great choice. I also have a pair from Scott Mohr's 92 GTS. I have been thinking about selling them since I bought the 87 with OZ Racing wheels. I like the wheels and the tires (Goodyear FI GS-D3) and have maybe 4K miles on them. I haven't put them on the 87 to see what they look like. They are classic and muscular looking wheel which look great on the 928.

Does C2 mean Cup 2? BTW, the wheels are beautiful.

I was wondering about yours last night, they dont look like either.

I hope this is right, The Cup 1 first appeared on the 911 C2 turbo in 1991, The cup 2 first appeared on the 928 GTS in 1994 but are referred to as 993 style, because they were more commonly seen on 993 type 911s starting in 1995.

So C2 is actually Cup 1
and 993 cup is Cup 2

does that help?

Wow, until they were put up side by side, I never even noticed the difference.

Ones in red one are factory and called Cup I too. They are just 16" version used in 964 and 968. Or I could be wrong and they are 17" aftermarket version styled like 16" used in other early nineties porschen but not in GTS.

These do not look like Cup I wheels - spokes are too angular and narrow, lug holes look too small and not flared as much too.

My cars invoice describes these wheels as C2 Carrera Cup - these are Cup I and the C2 relates to the Carrera they were used on first not the Cup Wheels... this issue of confusion comes up every year or so it seems... Matt described it well

93 & early 94 Cup I's had 36 psi RDK sensors all round. I'd be inclined to weld the sensor holes and install an aftermarket wireless programmable tire pressure warning system.

These are my favorite 928 wheels - I'm glad they came stock on my car...

After looking at the pictures, I agree that mine do not appear to be Cup wheels. They are 17" wheels but do have a narrower spoke pattern. I will pull the wheels a little later this week and see if there are any identifying marks. I always had just assumed they were Cup wheels. I am learning more and more.

On topic, how expensive is it to refinish a set of wheels like that? They turned out great.
