the central locking system on a 1990 GT is located. It's the 911 brain, which is not on earlier models.

Not sure on your model but on my GTS its under the passenger seat. You can check to see if its there without removing the seat by moving it all the way forward and removing the rear carpet pads. If under the seat bottom near the back edge you can see a metal plate covering a module (with wiring going to it) - slightly to the right side looking forward - that will be it. You can't actually access it by removing the metal plate until the seat is out - a security feature. Getting the seat out can be fun too since there is limited room for a hex wrench and the bolts can sieze up.

If its not there - its likely in the console (some earlier years) or split (2 modules) between the console and up under/inside the dash near the glove box.
