Question Headlights going crazy

A week ago I hit a bump, PA roads are really bad this time of the year, actually all the time but especially now, and the lights started to cycle up and down. They wouldn't stop untill I turned the key off, they were then OK untill tonight when I turned them on and they started cycling again this time they stopped when I turned them off but would start again when turned on. With them off I attempted to run the headlight motor through a cycle by hand but as soon as I turned it a little it took off through one cycle and then everything was OK.

I think the position indicator, if there is one, must need adjustment, does anyone have any info on this, any help will be appreciated.

TIA

Check the relay in the main fuse/relay board first Dave.

Then check out the headlight switch.

The motor contains the contacts that signal on/off of the raise/lower function.

Search the archives here for several recent discussions by others with a similar problem as yours.
