As a coincidence we're just finishing up a custom project on an old Chevy. The customer wanted white carpet.
Keeping it clean will be a big hassle. The dark spots are seat mounting holes.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm just going to stick with all black, much more easier to obtain, lol.

Rob--

Maybe it's the camera or lighting, but your "white" Chevy looks a lot like the linen Porsche color rather than a true white-white. I'm pretty sure I couldn't live with a true white-white on a car that's driven. I'd have to have special slippers and seatcovers, and even then it would get dirty just from folks looking at it. I'd love to here the owner's feedback on the color choice a year from now.

I have a full white leather interior, but with black carpets and door bottoms and trunk. Its about as white as I can handle - on a sunny day its hard to avoid squinting from the pod reflecting in the windscreen.
Can you get 225-50x16s in white walls?

Just wear poloarized sunglasses, and you're OK.

Would you please stop making fun of Danglerb, and finally give him some respect? After all, he has recently become a hero.

Back on topic, and I know it perhaps should be an OT question but,

Can you actually dye carpet (or anything else for that matter) from any other colour (choose your fave non white colour) to white ?

I realise that you can bleach certain types of organic dyes to a lighter colour (not always white and some end up as darker other colours due to unwanted chemical reactions between the original dye and the bleach) but generally even if you get rid of the original dye colour you end up with the colour of the original yarn which may or may not have been white.

I only ask through sheer curiosity, black carpet is good for me. Had there been a Rennlist Colour Chemistry forum I'ld ask there.
