I guess I didn't say it directly so I'll put it this way, why was Danglerb banned? What was so peculiar about him that he is referenced here so often?

Ryan,

To answer your flame about my forum, YES, it is a forum of information, whether new or from other sources <---credit given to original author. And NO, I do not need to be a Sponsor of Rennlist to put my banner. First, since I am not selling anything nor asking for any money. And most important, I have Johns "Rennlist Admin" approval.

I also noticed that you must be a "Moderator" of some sorts to be Moderating this post by Candleman. Heck, I would also like to know why all the hype about Big D. I also see you do this a lot in other posts. You also did it to me as far as being OT yourself. Is it possible that we can all be Member Users and learn from each other? And let Moderators that are really moderators designated by the Rennlist Admins do their job. "Can't we all just get along?" <--Credit given to Rodney King, the original author of this quote.

On the carpet note..... I don't for sure if they make a white color....but anything can be made for the right application of $$$ The kits available that are silverknit are very high quality and well worth it!

Thanks!

Yes. The carpet set includes all the pieces in the 928. It also has the heel pads and vinyl dead pedal piece, vinyl binding, and the metal snap on the passenger side over the ECM.
The domestic nylon is not as thick as the Sliverknit, but it has a denser weave. It feels similar to Sliverknit, but not as soft.
I've sold several sets and received a lot of positive feedback and no complaints.

Just checked the site and noticed...."Total posts 88 | Total topics 35 | Total members 5 | Our newest member Danglerb " not that there is anything wrong with that... Now about white carpet the problem is it will NOT stay white even the linen carpet is so light colored it does not stay nice for long.

Why did it take almost two pages before someone bothered to mention this?

I think because we all thought it was DanglerB with some ridiculous question.

I suspect most people didn't even bother reading this thread as it is amazing that anyone would request white carpeting to begin with, unless: A) they are Guido the killer pimp, B) Octavio El Queso Grande for his low rider, or C) DanglerB for his living room style 928 with the recliner in the back.

To continue with the second thread within this thread:
I don't think most of us had a problem with him personally, but this is a 'technical' forum and I think many people had an issue with his frequent posting of non-technical items and threads. I'm not sure why he was banned, but I do know he drew the ire of many here.

When he first started posting, it was as a newbie, two months later (I think before he actually got a 928, but I may be wrong) he was posting answers to other newbie questions without any first-hand knowledge. I think that stirred things up a bit too.

I think he could take a ribbing pretty well, so I didn't have a problem with him.

I have passed along info that I read or heard rather than personally obtained, but I usually credited the list or said that I didn't know first hand. I don't think that was his technique.

Keith,

Did you replace the carpet in your GTS? Is it sliverknit or something else? I kinda remember it being different for some reason, aside from it being black.

Nope, never did a thing to the carpet in the GTS. I replaced carpet in my old 82 with the Slivernit Cashmere. The black carpet in the Euro is in nice condition and the 85 which is currently gutted, will have the carpet dry cleaned before it goes back in.

AFA DanglerB goes... one big feather ruffle was 40% of the #1 page on the Rennlist forum was authored by him and the content was nothing short of the focus of this thread, not to mention that latter part of "WHY?".
