Default She is Alive

Well it only took me near 4 years to get her running again, but I did it.

My 85 after loosing compression on 6 cylinders is finally running. All new rings and gaskets, a move to a new house buying a 88 and spending most my time with her, starting a business and getting horses for the new place. Yeah Its amazing i got back around to her.

1 hose clamp and a Alt belt kept me form getting her moving under her own power last night grrrrrrr. Hope to resolve that tonight (yeah more paying work on a Saturday) Sigh..

Then down to the nickel and dime stuff to make her a daily driver for the Wife.

Thurston.

Great to hear - I know what you mean about getting a project like that back into form but it will be worth it.

Holy Christmas tree lights. Every light and warning in the instrument cluster is on and shining bright. Good news all the lights work. Bad news? The central waring system is going nuts. checked all the senders and there good. Sigh.. In taking a break and looking over the wire diagram. I hate to think the unit went bad sitting in the car and doing nothing for 4 years. shrug....

Check all your grounds, they can corrode all on their own. Good luck, Mac

Check the CE panel look above it for water tell tale drips if you see any then your blower box is leaking onto the CE panel, time to do a reseal on the blower box
A fuse chart here www.928gt.com check for correct fuses and correct relays, do this with the battery disconnected, also check the hot post wires, remove the 11mm bolt they could probably use a cleaning and open the 14 pin connector clean it with a pink eraser, when your finished if you dont already have one order a hot post cover from a 88 S4 it fits like a glove and keeps the hot post dry, the spin on hot post cap will hold it on.
The dash lights staying on may be from your down time , some driving may get things working again although its probably a dirty connection
