Default What should be in the socket next to the door chime relay?

Hi all,

I am slowly bringing my new-to-me '88 928S4 up to scratch.

I finally pulled the central console to fix a vacuum pod, and found the door chime relay, BUT there is a PAIR of sockets with the door chime in one, and the other empty.

Any one have any idea what could/should be there?

Steve.

this may not answer your question but you can get a fuse relay chart from www.928gt.com. You may need the WSM elex diagrams to ID the connector, in the mean time you could check to see if the CE panel has the correct fuses and the correct Relays

You're right, it doesn't answer my question

I have looked at the chart you mention, and although it refers to the door chime relay, it doesn't show the location, as it is not on the CE panel.

The relay is under the central console, just ahead of the shifter, and is plugged into one of two sockets that are side-by-side.

I can't find any reference to this other socket in PET6, or any of the manuals, but I'm still looking.
